I have a degree in Fine Art with photography as one of my majors. Since then, I have had 18 years of experience as a commercial photographer and 13 years teaching photography to individuals and small groups.
I have hosted numerous photowalks including three Scott Kelby WorldWide Photowalks in Cape Town.
Recently, I had the privilege of being interviewed on an international street photography podcast called “Street Focus” about photography in Cape Town.
I love visual problem solving and recognise that each person has a different way of relating to the language of visuals.

The majority of my courses are 1on1 or small groups. We keep things as practical as possible and try to shoot and learn on the go to put theory into practice.
I tailor bespoke courses according to each individual’s needs in order to make most of the time, one’s own camera and specific genre or style.
My courses are centered around the following:
Know your Camera, shooting technique, Exposure, Light, Composition, storytelling, Off-camera lighting and Lightroom / Photoshop training.
In some cases my courses even played a vital role as part of a therapy program, much like art therapy to help restore mental, emotional and physical health.
It sound very serious but its HEAPS of fun every time!
Lastly, I also cater for tourists to our mother city, especially since the Street Focus podcasts attracted much more interest among touring individuals and small groups. I am able to take visitors around my city to some scenic places while learning something about photography, the place and the people.
My costs range from R350 per hour to R850 per hour depending on the level of photography.
