The Dance Project is a dance school based in Cape Town, we currently have two campuses, in Plumstead and Diep River, you can read more about where to find us here. Trish has her Advanced Teacher’s in Tap and Modern Dance and received her Teacher’s Dance Diploma (majoring in Ballet) from UCT. She has run a studio for 26 years, working in Cafda for 13 years, teaching Dance as a Matric subject for 11 years, adjudicating numerous Festivals and Dance Competitions and has taken three Dance Tours overseas.
She was part of the SGB that devised the Tertiary education Unit Standards and is an author of six current Arts and Culture textbooks. She has lectured at the UCT Education Department for the last 7 years.
She choreographed, trained and ran a rotating team of dancers performing in Woza Cape Town over a 5 year period, has choreographed outside professional shows, producing shows for Grahamstown Festival, Artscape and the Baxter amongst others.
Trish’s passion is about developing performance skills along with technical skills and so prepares dancers for multiple experiences: exams, Eisteddfods, stage shows, functions, corporate events. She believes any dancer with aptitude and talent needs to be expanded beyond a technical studio experience.
