Kyrie Hardiman-Levington is a Master Trainer and leading figure in the Pilates Industry.
Kyrie was born in the United Kingdom in 1964. She worked as a professional dancer in London performing with The Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Dance Unlimited, and other renowned dance companies. Her film and television work includes Shakespeare in Love, Cold Comfort Farm, A Dance to the Music of Time and Great Expectations (BBC and Channel 4).
Kyrie began teaching classical ballet and contemporary dance in 1984. She also worked as a choreographer and assistant director for several operas in London, Glasgow and Berkshire.
In 1994 Kyrie sustained a serious knee injury whist dancing. Alongside physiotherapy she chose Pilates as her main means of rehabilitation, training with Alan Herdman, in London. After a full and successful recovery she resumed her career, whilst continuing to practice Pilates. In 2002 she retired from dancing and moved to South Africa.
Kyrie was certified as a Pilates instructor in 2003 and opened her own studio, PilatesHere, in 2004 where she continues to teach and train.
Kyrie completed her Personal Training qualifications in 2012 with the Exercise Teachers Academy (eta).
She currently sits on the REPSSA board as the Pilates representative for South Africa
